Putting Hustle Culture To Rest

February 25, 20252 min read

Have you ever felt like you're running on an endless treadmill, constantly hustling but never quite getting anywhere? It's exhausting, isn't it? Many women grapple with this hustle culture, believing they need to prove themselves through nonstop toil. But what if I told you that wasn't how we were meant to live? That femininity is more about creation, nurturing, and receiving than it is about doing?

Why Hustle Culture Misses the Mark:

Let's paint a picture. Imagine a world where your worth isn't tied to how busy you are. This goes against everything hustle culture stands for, but it's a reality we're called to embrace. The wisdom of scripture invites us to find rest and fulfillment that rejuvenates rather than exhausts. It's about working in a way that honors who you are. It's about working in a way where we are whole, worthy, and joyful.

Prioritizing Divine Desires Over Worldly Obligations:

Women often find themselves torn between duty and desire. Ever wonder what God truly wants for you, and if your current path aligns with that? Start by identifying and eliminating things that don't. Let go of pursuits that drain you, and embrace what brings joy and aligns with your divine purpose.

Rest as Empowerment, Not Weakness:

Society often labels rest as a sign of laziness. I used to as well. But here's a radical thought: rest is divine power. It's not something you need to earn; it's inherently yours. Remember, Isaiah 40:29 tells us "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." Allow yourself to embrace rest and watch your strength multiply.

Creating a Life of Ease and Strength:

Balancing gentleness with strength, it's not just possible; it's essential. Examine whether your current life structures support this. Are your environment and relationships uplifting? Or do they drain you? Make choices that foster ease and eliminate constant struggle.

Shedding Unrealistic Expectations:

It's tough when society expects women to be everything all at once. Instead of juggling countless expectations, focus on what truly matters to you. Start small, make radical shifts, and let go of the rest. Begin living in alignment with what fulfills you, moment by moment.

Watch the Podcast Episode:

Living in alignment means not managing peace but allowing peace to be a part of your life. Your worth isn’t dependent on your achievements, it's already declared. Embrace a life aligned with God's purpose, where you thrive effortlessly and watch the Let's Make Some NOISE podcast episode HERE where I talk more about embracing rest. I'm passionate about this because I used to live the complete opposite way and it nearly killed me. That's when I realized there has to be a better way, and I found it and it's for you too.
